After last week’s successful day of shopping, movies, and food at the mall, Buster was ready to check off another item off his summer bucket list: dancing under the summer sky with a few of his favorite peeps!
One day while scrolling through his Twitter, Buster found a cool list of free things to do this summer from PE.com. He noticed that Chino’s summer concerts in the park series happened on Thursdays from 7-9 p.m. and admission was free! So last Thursday evening he paid his discounted $1 fare onboard Route 85 (Routes 81, 83, 84, 88 and OmniGo 265 can also take you there) and headed for Chino City Hall to check out some live music!
It only took about 20 minutes from Rancho Cucamonga to the Chino Transit Center, only a shuffle away from the concert. Buster danced his little tires off with friends to the tunes of a Creedence Clearwater Revival tribute band, only taking a break from movin’ and groovin’ to grab a bite from one of the food vendors at the event.
After refreshments, it was back to the lawn where Buster reprised his favorite dance moves: The Mashed Potato, the Electric Slide and the Helicopter. Buster had a whale of a time that night dancing, listening to some cool tunes, and petting all the cute dogs. He can’t wait to return for the Queen tribute concert tonight. “Bohemian Rhapsody” and “We Are the Champions” make some iconic group sing-along moments!
This summer, Buster also plans to go back to the Redlands Bowl for their summer festival series, accessible via Route 19, plus a swift three minute walk. Check out the shows at your local summer concert lineups and ride Omnitrans for only $1 through the rest of July!
