Omnitrans bus passes are moving into the digital age! To bring you a new, innovative way to ride the bus, starting today, you may purchase your Omnitrans bus passes on your smartphone. We have partnered with Token Transit, a free mobile app, to provide you with a simple, secure, and convenient way to experience Omnitrans.
It’s easy to do! Simply download the free Token Transit app from your respective app store – Google Play for Android or the App Store for iOS devices such as iPhone or iPad. How to get started:
- Use the download link available in the Omnitrans app
- Text “TOKEN” to 41411 for a download link
- Download the app directly from Google Play or the App Store from your device
Once you’ve installed the app, a short series of prompts will help you set up your new account. Please note that purchasing mobile passes requires you to use your credit or debit card. Cash still can be used to purchase physical bus passes at our retail outlets.
Purchasing a bus pass on Token Transit is simple. Select the fare that you want (single-ride, 1-day, 7-day, or 31-day pass) and your rider category (full fare, senior/disability, youth or veteran).
After you’ve made your transaction, your purchased passes are stored in the app’s Pass Wallet.
Activate your pass only once you’re ready to ride. The single-ride option will be active only for 30 minutes from point of activation. The period of use for all other passes (1-day, 7-day, and 31-day) begins at the time of activation.
Once ready to ride, all you need to do is show your phone to the driver when boarding the bus so they can see your activated pass on the screen. Easy!
