Adopt-a-Stop: Adopt an Omnitrans Bus Stop and Promote Your Business!

Would you like to promote your business or organization while enhancing the cleanliness and appearance of your local community? Sign up for the brand new Omnitrans Adopt-a-Stop program and become a “Trash Buster!”

Omnitrans invites local businesses, non-profit organizations, community groups, families, and individuals to adopt bus stops within the San Bernardino Valley. Partners of the Adopt-a-Stop program will receive recognition on 18”x24” signs at their selected bus stop (pictured below). Additionally, Omnitrans will recognize adopters with dedicated social media posts on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram to a combined reach of over 8,600 followers.

There are two exciting ways to become an Adopt-a-Stop partner – Volunteer Litter Pickup or Paid Sponsorship.

Volunteer Litter Pickup – The Volunteer Litter Pickup program requires a one-year commitment to monitor your chosen bus stop once per week, pick up litter, and dispose of it in the nearest available appropriate trash receptacle.

Only one sign-up form needs to be submitted for a group, and Omnitrans’ Adopt-a-Stop coordinator will interact with one representative on behalf of the group. Omnitrans will install the recognition sign after the first two months that the group fulfills its commitment.

Paid Sponsorship -For businesses or organizations who want to make a financial contribution rather than picking up litter, there are several ways to make a difference.

  • Purchase passenger amenities to place at bus stop (prices are approximate; amenities have to be purchased directly from the manufacturer). Sponsors will be recognized with a sign at their bus stop for five years.
    • Larger trash can – $1,300
    • Larger trash can & bench – $2,300
    • Standard shelter – $13,000
    • Premium shelter – $39,000 (Custom artwork option on shelter panel available to sponsors.)
  • Sponsor contracted cleanup services at bus stops for one year (Cost TBD.)
  • Sponsor supplies for volunteers (through payment to Omnitrans). Sponsors will be recognized on Omnitrans website and social media.
  • Sponsor cleanup days for volunteers (through payment to Omnitrans or through direct purchase of food, t-shirts/safety vests, or supplies for volunteers). Sponsors will be recognized on event promotional materials.

Win two free tickets to the Agua Caliente Clippers of Ontario 2018-19 season!

As Thanksgiving approaches, along with a big thank you for riding, we offer you the special chance to win tickets to any home game for the local NBA G League team, the Agua Caliente Clippers of Ontario!

Omnitrans is a proud sponsor of the Agua Caliente Clippers, and we want to celebrate this new partnership by giving away six pairs of free ticket vouchers good for any game of the 2018-19 season.

Yes, you read that correctly – any home game of the 2018-19 season held at Citizens Business Bank Arena in Ontario.

To enter this giveaway for a chance to win:

  • Leave a comment below telling us what you guess the final Clippers score will be for the game on Tuesday, November 20, 2018 as the AC Clippers take on the South Bay Lakers.

Example: I predict the Clippers score will be 89!

HINT: The past couple of games have been in the high triple digits, ranging anywhere from 97-129 points. View past scores this season here.

If there are no correct guesses, we will choose the six closest to the final Clippers score scored without going over. If there are more than six tied, we will randomly select the winners. We limit one entry per person, so be sure to tell family and friends to also comment below with their guesses to increase your odds of winning!

To qualify, your entry must include an e-mail address that we can use to contact you if you win. Winners will be notified on Wednesday, November 21st at 12:00 p.m. Winner must be able to pick up ticket vouchers from Omnitrans. Arrangements can be made when we contact the winners.

Good luck, and go AC Clippers!

Omnitrans Offers New Summer Discount for Youth

Riders 18 and under ride one-way for $1 in June and July!

Local youth can get around town a little cheaper this summer, thanks to a special discounted bus fare on Omnitrans. Riders 18 and under will pay just $1 per trip in June and July.

While Omnitrans offers Youth discounts on its 7- day and 31-day bus passes, there was not a youth discount for single trips until this summer. In comparison, the regular one-way cash rate is $1.75; a 1-day pass is $5.

“Summer is a great time to get out and explore,” said Omnitrans spokesperson Wendy Williams. “We hope the discounted summer youth fare will make it more affordable for youth and families to get to the community pool, the library, the mall or the movies.”

The discount is good on all Omnitrans bus routes serving the San Bernardino Valley including 26 local routes, three freeway express routes, five OmniGo community shuttle routes and the sbX bus rapid transit line in San Bernardino and Loma Linda.

During the traditional school year, Omnitrans averages nearly 40,000 youth trips per month. That drops to about half during the summer months.

Students who appear to be close to age 19 should be prepared to show bus drivers proof of age or a high school ID card to prove they are eligible for the discount.

Personalized routing assistance is available at 800-9-OMNIBUS (800-966-6428) or online at www.omnitrans.org.
