Omnitrans Wins National Marketing and Communications AwardSAN BERNARDINO, CA - The American Public Transportation Association (APTA) announced that Omnitrans has won first place in the 28th Annual AdWheel Award competition for its exterior bus advertisements. The AdWheel Awards, which recognize excellence in public transportation marketing and communications, were presented at a gala awards ceremony on October 8 in Charlotte, NC, as part of APTA's 2007 Annual Meeting. More than 750 entries were received in this year's competition. "Receiving a coveted AdWheel Award is a prestigious accomplishment and should be celebrated as a mark of originality, creativity, and excellence in public transportation marketing and communications," said APTA President William W. Millar. The winning advertisements are part of the agency's "More Reasons to Ride" campaign, and feature catchy slogans such as "We cover 480 square miles. Yeah, we can get you to school," and "Cheap. Reliable. Safe. Sexy. Well, three out of four" on Omnitrans' signature red background. "We work hard in partnership with our advertising agency to produce eye-catching, memorable advertising that brings awareness of the service we provide," said Omnitrans Director of Marketing Wendy Williams. "It's an honor to have that work recognized."
