Omnitrans to Dedicate Plaque in Memory of Coach Operator

WHO: The family and friends of late Omnitrans Coach Operator Lawrence Kester, Omnitrans staff, Board members, and customers 

WHAT: Omnitrans and community members will commemorate the life of late Coach Operator Kester with the dedication of a memorial plaque in his hometown of Fontana.

Kester, a valued 15-year veteran of the transit agency, was tragically killed on duty on May 7. He was a member of Omnitrans' elite "Million Mile Club," and earned more than a dozen commendations for safety and service.

Kester was a husband and father of eight children. The "Kester Family Memorial Fund," established by Omnitrans, will accept donations through August 9. Donations may be mailed or delivered to any Bank of America branch location, or directed to Omnitrans headquarters at 1700 West Fifth St., San Bernardino, CA  92411.
